A New Look
In 2022, Kryix was competing for a spot in contenders, as well as the Overwatch Pro-Am. The brand underwent massive changes, updating their logo to a more minimalist style. This allowed the brand to be more versatile with graphics, and have a professional look.

In addition to the logo rebrand, I created concepts for potential merchandise to support the visual identity. The minimalist themes were implemented along with the black and red color scheme.

Social Media Graphics
Kryix's brand was designed in the style of game and website UI. Elements such as panels, buttons, sidebars, and search bars are used across all graphics. All components were designed with animation in mind as we looked to implement motion graphics into our content. Everything from the background details to the logo are animated.
I took a lot of inspiration from streaming services for the rebrand. Some small details they would tend to use are shadows coming from one layer over another to give depth and the impression of being interactive. Another example is the use of subtle gradients. It made the designs feel less flat, and worked well with the shaded elements.

Evolving Our Brand
Kryix decided to make a change to our organization, moving from a competitive team, to an independent news outlet for the Overwatch Path to Pro scene. This meant a new look to fit the new theme, while keeping the Kryix brand recognizable.

Tournament Content
Path to Pro news coverage is broad, as it applies to multiple tournaments. Our brand had to be able to function in different colors and formats to fit the wide variety of tournaments. Throughout 2023 we covered Overwatch World Cup, Calling All Heroes, Saudi E-League, Flash Ops, Berry Blast Community Cup, and Overwatch Contenders.
